How to Install Windows 10 on your computer

 


These steps will guide you on how to install Windows 10 from a USB drive; following these steps will delete all your information on your hard drive, so make sure you have your information backed up

Make sure you confirm whether your PC is a 64 bit or a 32 bit, you can do this by right clicking on "This Pc properties" 

1. Head on to Microsoft download section of windows 10 and download accordingly 



This will download an executable file and you will have to run that executable file on your PC

2. Run the executable downloaded file 


3. Accept the terms on licence of the software




4. Create an installation media for other PC


5. Select language preference

you're installing Windows on the current PC, you can keep the default options. If you need to install on a different PC, make sure you choose the language and edition for which you have a license, and select the architecture (64-bit or 32-bit) that matches the PC you're going to install on.

6. Choose an installation media and proceed


After all these steps its time to install windows from the USB device

7. All we need to do is change the boot sequence in the bios to be able to boot from that USB device, when you restart the PC check for something like "press F2 or F12" depending on the device to enter the boot menu

8. Look for the boot section in your BIOS and change the priority order of booting up and make the USB option the first priority save the changes and  select boot


 

  The computer will restart and boot from the USB device


9. Select the language according to your preference


10. Click install, you will be prompted to enter a product key, if you dont have you can click on skip in the bottom right corner


Follow the on-screen instructions to install Windows 10. You'll be asked to perform a few tasks, such as connecting to Wi-Fi and choosing some preferences. Once the installation is complete, you'll have a fresh new installation of Windows 10.

If you're upgrading from an earlier version of Windows, you'll be asked if you want to upgrade the current operating system or do a custom install. If you choose Upgrade, you'll preserve existing apps and files.
